Redesigning Email Templates

The Problem

When I first started working on designing emails, we only had two templates, a header and a single cards. These emails were long, affected scroll times and often looked the same.

Additional problems included:

  • Embedded text created localization issues

  • Inconsistent font sizes

  • Smaller viewport (600w mobile)

  • Missing CTA’s (unclear click throughs)

  • No mobile-friendly layouts

Old email examples, we had been using these templates for 4+ years

The old email templates had just two exports, a curved header and one card

The Solution

In May 2025, I worked with the email developer to completely redesign these templates optimizing for:

  • Mobile-friendly designs

  • Minimizing scroll times

  • Clear and consistent CTA’s

  • Diversification of layout options

I developed a system for briefing in emails, numbering the templates so that copywriters, marketers, and designers alike could build emails based off of what best fit the content.

Additionally we brought all email mockups into Figma, going through reviews with marketers in-situ.
